Q & A

Shipping

Q: How big is a large piece?

A: The total of the length, width, and depth exceeds 250 cm. It cannot be delivered by regular Yamato or Sagawa Express, so please contact Yamato Transport (artworks) or a company that can transport large artworks.

In that case, please ask the company to handle the delivery and return, and then contact our office with the details of the delivery and return.

Q My piece is too big and I was told the delivery company cannot transport it.

A: It seems that many people use their own cars to move their items in and out, or ask Yamato Transport (for art objects) or a delivery company in their area (light transport, etc.) to help them. Please make arrangements as soon as possible.

* The secretariat does not ship or return large works.

*The secretariat will also handle unpacking, display, and packing within the venue.

Q Can I request my own removal company (up to unpacking) and removal company (up to packing)?

A: Of course. Please let our office know that you have made the arrangements.

*If you request the secretariat to unpack and pack the items, a labor fee will be charged (see website).

Q: What should I do if my artwork does not arrive in time for the delivery date?

A: Please contact the office as soon as possible, as we may not be able to secure exhibition space or display your work.

Q: Who should I contact if I have a delivery problem?

A: Please check with the delivery company to see if the packaging is damaged. The delivery company will contact our office.

Loading and unloading

Q: The method of loading and unloading has changed since I entered. Is this OK?

A: Yes, this is possible. Please let our office know as soon as you have decided on your method of loading and unloading.

Q: What if I create a new work, add a different work to the one I applied for, or change the number or title of the work?

A: Please notify the office of any changes to the work at least one month in advance, and any changes to the title at least two weeks in advance.

Q: What should I do if my artwork does not arrive in time for the delivery date?

A: Please contact the office as soon as possible, as we may not be able to secure exhibition space or display your work.

Exhibition

Q: Do I decide the display location myself?

A: The exhibition coordinator at TORAM Office will be in charge of arrangement.

Q: Can I hang the monitor on the wall for a video work?

A: Since there is limited space for power sources and other things when hanging on the wall, the product will be installed on a display stand.

Q Can I place explanations and profiles of the works in the exhibition room?

A: Posters cannot be posted inside the exhibition room, but business cards or A4 size posters can be placed at the entrance to the venue.

Q: My piece is a special exhibit and weighs over 20 kg. Can I exhibit it?

A Please prepare exhibition staff. Please inform the office of the weight and exhibition method.

Q: The wall artwork is heavy. Will that be ok?

A: You can hang up to 20kg. If you want to hang more than 20kg, please let our office know.

Q Can it be hung from the ceiling?

A: It depends on the exhibition, so please consult with the secretariat.

Q: When there is an admission fee for an exhibition, do artists also pay the admission fee each time?

A: There is no admission fee for exhibiting artists. Artist passes will be distributed at the venue reception.
